The Islamic Republic of Pakistan (hereinafter called ?Borrower?) has received financing from the World Bank in the form of a loan (hereinafter called ?loan? toward the cost of NATIONAL TRANSMISSION MODERNIZATION PROJECT I and intends to apply part of the proceeds towards payments under the contract for Procurement of End User IT Equipment. For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank?s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing. 2. The National Transmission & Despatch Co. Ltd. (NTDC) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Procurement of End User IT Equipment. Delivery time will be 120 calendar days from contract award date, whereas the delivery locations will be NTDC IT Directorate, Ground Floor, Shaheen Complex, Edgerton Road, Lahore. Bidding will be conducted through national competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank?s ?Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers? November 2017 (?Procurement Regulations?), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations. 4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from NTDC, Chief Engineer (Material Procurement & Management), cempm@ntdc.com.pk and inspect the bidding document during office hours i.e. 0730 to 1530 hour at the address given below. 5. A complete set of RFB documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of PKR 3,000/-. The method of payment will be through banking channel/demand draft/pay order. If the documents are to be sent through air mail/courier an additional fee of PKR 1,000 (for local delivery in Pakistan) will be charged. All Bids must be accompanied by a lot wise Bid Security, as given below, in the form of Demand Draft/Pay Order issued by a scheduled bank of Pakistan drawn in favor of Chief Engineer (Material Procurement & Management), NTDC or in the form of bank guarantee from a scheduled bank of Pakistan having a minimum credit rating of AA.
