| Description | METROPOLITAN CORPORATION ISLAMABAD EMEREGENCY & DISASTER MANAGEMENT DTE. FIRE HEADQUARTERS BUILDING, G-7/1 MECHANICAL ELETCRCIAL & PLUMBING (MEP) CONSULTANTS WITH SPECIALISATION IN BUILDING FIRE SAFETY. The Directorate of Emergency & Disaster Management, Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) requires the services of the professional MEP Consultants/ Consulting firms, to conduct FIRE SAFETY DESIGN REVIEWS as independent Third Party Consultants bearing expertise in fire & safety to ?Authority Having Jurisdiction? in accordance with the provisions contained in Section 1.15 of the Building Codes of Pakistan, Fire Safety Provision 2016, at the risk and cost of owners/occupants officially referred from ?AHJ? on case to case basis. All interested MEP consultants/firms who intends to work on voluntarily basis with the ?AHJ? are encouraged to apply with a complete company profile not later than 15-08-2024. The following Terms & Conditions shall apply. 1. Consulting firm/consultant should be registered with the PEC as MEP consultant, precisely in rendering FIRE SAFETY EXPERT CONSULTANCY /DESIGN/SUPERVISION services. 2. Consultants/firm should be registered with the FBR/SECP and have valid NTN number. 3. Owner of consultancy firm should have strong communication skills to write technical reports and give high level presentations. 4. Consultant firm should have track record of delivering related services/projects to Government, Semi-Government, Private entrepreneurs, Housing authorities/societies, Builders/developers etc. 5. Owner of the consultancy firm should have more than 10-15 years practical FIRE-SAFETY DESIGN/CONSUNTALCY/SUPERVISION & industry experience. 6. Preference shall be given to the MEP?s/firms with hands-on working experience with ?Authority Having Jurisdiction?, in connection with the Fire Design Approvals, as envisaged in Sub Section (3), Section (4) of, Islamabad Fire Prevention & Life Safety Regulations 2010. 7. Consultants/firm?s should have adequate Engineering background, appropriate fire safety, prevention and protection pro-active acquaintance and certifications in fire safety and/or disaster management. He should have experience working with national/strategic level organizations/entrepreneurs within Pakistan to deliver quality work, preferably within ICT limits. 8. Command on Building Code of Pakistan, Fire Safety Provisions-2016 and good knowledge of NFPA is essentially required. 9. Consultant/Firm?s should be locally available for meetings and flexible for field visits on need basis. 10. Experience in Installation & Maintenance of the fire prevention system as per NFPA standards for at least five years 11. MCI shall have no financial implications/bearing on such engagements, and the CONSULTANTS?s shall be subjected to risk & cost of owners/occupants, as categorically contained in Section 1.15 of the Building Codes of Pakistan, Fire Safety Provision 2016. 12. Public shall be open to borrow the services any PEC registered MEP Consultant from the open market, with no compulsions to have ?AHJ?s? shortlisted MEP?s/firms, whatsoever. 13. Project Designed/ Executed/Approved/Completed/vetted/finalized within ICT limits shall be a value addition to professional profile. 14. The engagement shall be for a period of three year(s) with the MEP Consultants/Firm (once notified), unless otherwise terminated. 15. The authority reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of required MEP Consultants/firms, relying upon the technical advice of the Selection Committee/experts.
